Born 1970 Adana, Turkey, Can ( pronounced Jan ) has lived in the United Kingdom since the age of 3.
Actually most of his friends know him as John since this is the name that stuck from early school days where he was brought up in the East End of London. Between 1989 and 1990 he studied BTEC photography at the City of Westminster College in London, although he is mainly self taught since the age of 15. As a freelance he has worked for many clients on assignments and projects.

His reportage / documentary style of travel images have recently been used by a wide variety of clients from an educational poster in American schools to a humanitarian website in Australia.
